Craftsmanship Award Nomination Criteria
Nominations for 2024 are now closed.
About the Craftsmanship Awards
In 1958, a group of South Florida construction professionals recognized the need to publicly applaud excellence in workmanship as exemplified by the region's most skilled craftsmen. They created the Craftsmanship Awards to pay tribute to the workers who are such an integral part of South Florida's ever expanding commercial and residential construction industry. In an era where unlicensed contractors and substandard workmanship undermine their public image, the recipients of these awards proudly maintain their devotion to "Old World" artistry combined with modern skills and innovation. We take great pride in paying tribute to their outstanding efforts with our highest honor, the Craftsmanship Awards.
BENEFITS OF NOMINATING
When craftsmen complete an outstanding job, you can show your appreciation by nominating them for this high honor. Whether they win or not, a nomination shows them that you appreciate their skill and devotion to quality workmanship. Employers of skilled craftsmen also reap the benefits of these awards. By putting the best tradesmen in the business to work, employers play their own vital role in the industry's continuous quest for improvement and innovation in all facets of the construction process.
Nominations put the word out to other employers, contractors, engineers, architects and owners about the best tradesmen available. By letting others know which craftsmen you consider outstanding, you help to ensure that the quality standards you work so hard to achieve are maintained throughout the industry.
